Research

Goland participates in the realization of some research projects conducted by the Zootechnical Sciences Department of the University of Padua. The current research projects aim to clarify the genetic background of innovative features of certain interest for improving the productive and processing aptitude of heavy pigs and to evaluate the opportunity of including these characteristics in the pool of objectives of the current selection scheme. Furthermore, every 3 years it publishes a report on the selective developments of the Goland program.
